In the upcoming days a major bike race (Arctic Race) will take place in Lofoten. On Friday 16 th of August there will be some traffic difficulties in Henningsvær. Please, take a look if you're coming to us :) The road to Henningsvær (Henningsværveien) will be closed from 11:00 to 14:15. The road to the west (to Gimsøya and around it) will be closed from 12:10 to 15:15. The road to the east (to Svolvær) will be closed from 13:00 to 15:00. This means in practice that there will be no access to Henningsvær between 11:00 and ca. 16:00. The whole race lasts from 15.08 to 18.08, so there will be traffic difficulties in other places as well. Please, check the attached maps to see the details.

Midnight sun at Finnholmen :)

I et par dager var denne ensome rytteren fra Fransk Polynesien på besøk hos oss :) En kjempehyggelig, sterk og taper jente som sykler selv i et kraftig regnvær! Vi håper vi ses igjen en dag :) For a couple of days this lonely rider from French Polynesia was our guest :) A very nice, strong and brave girl who rides a bike even in a heavy rain! We hope we will see each other again someday :)
